UCB was present last week (June 5-9 2011) at the 15th International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders which was held in Toronto Canada.

The annual event, which is hosted by the Movement Disorder Society (MDS) attracted thousands of clinicians and researchers and served as a forum to share ideas and discuss current research and approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of Movement Disorders.

UCB hosted a medical information booth at the Congress where UCB medical personnel were on hand to answer any questions. In addition 15 UCB-supported abstracts were presented at the Congress with three abstracts chosen to be part of the Congress poster tour.

The theme selected by the Congress Scientific Program Committee for this year’s event was “Behavioural and motor interfaces of movement disorders: From laboratory to patient care”.

The International Congress attracted some of the leading figures in the field of movement disorders and provided an opportunity for UCB to engage with clinicians and researchers.
