In Europe, Xyzal® (levocetirizine) tablets are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, including persistent allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children over six years. Xyzal® drops and Xyzal® solution are becoming available throughout Europe for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, including persistent allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children over two years.

Xyzal® has been shown to produce a significant effect on the reduction of allergic rhinitis symptoms including nasal congestion in clinical and pharmacodynamic studies. Xyzal® is a well-tolerated medicine with a low incidence of side effects in adults and children. The most common side effects seen in clinical trials in patients over 12 years include somnolence, headache, dry mouth and fatigue.
