Patty Fritz

Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs

Patty Fritz is responsible for Global Regulatory Affairs at UCB, for the development and implementation of regulatory strategies to support R&D, manufacturing and commercial activities for UCB's pipeline.  A critical element of her role is developing and building relationships with governmental agencies in North America, Europe and Japan. She recently co-authored the chapter "Regulatory Submissions" in the textbook Compliance Handbook for Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Biologics.  She joined UCB in 1993 when it acquired Whitby Pharmaceuticals and previously held positions in clinical research and regulatory affairs with the FIDIA Pharmaceutical Corporation, the LINZ Institute and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

She has led regulatory teams through two mergers, most recently as global regulatory integration team leader responsible for the integration and globalisation of two regionally based regulatory organisations.

She holds a Masters degree in healthcare policy and administration from Atlanta's Mercer University and a BSc degree in management and technology from the University of Maryland.  She is a graduate of Summers Country School of Nursing.
